Michael C. Sanders is an attorney with 25 years of experience in handling a variety of business, energy, and real estate disputes and transactions. He has represented clients in lawsuits and cases from filing through trial and appeal. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate disputes, transactions, and other legal proceedings efficiently.
Michael is Board Certified in Oil, Gas, and Mineral Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has received Martindale Hubbell's highest peer review rating of AV. He has been named as a Super Lawyer in the area of Energy and Natural Resources Law every year since 2015.
Michael’s practice consists of handling many types of litigation and transactions and focuses his practice on energy, commercial real estate, and business.
In addition to representing clients in lawsuits, Michael serves as an alternative dispute resolution provider. Michael has completed arbitration training with the American Arbitration Association, and he is a member of the AAA's mediation, energy arbitration, and commercial arbitration panels. He also completed both the mediation and arbitration training courses at the University of Houston's A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center.
Michael lives with his wife, Angie, and their three sons in Missouri City, Texas. Michael grew up in the Houston area and graduated from Klein Oak High School. After college in Dallas and law school in Austin, Michael returned to Houston and began practicing law.
